After 5:00 PM weekdays, or on weekends, students may call 577-5000 to speak to the advice nurse at University Health Services.

Health Services offers a comprehensive program combining preventative medicine and health education with the treatment of illness, injury and mental health problems. The staff includes a physician, nurse practitioners, psychologists, a registered nurse and an office manager.

The Advice/Triage Nurse is available by telephone (x 6030 with voice mail) or in person to help determine the best course of action for medical concerns and questions. Calling health services first may significantly reduce waiting time.

When health services is closed (weekends, nights and vacations) students with urgent health problems may be seen at the University of Massachusetts Health Services Urgent Care.

Visits to Hampshire College health services are at no additional cost to our students. Visits to University of Massachusetts Health Services or a hospital emergency room will result in an additional charge to students.
