Study Abroad Tuition and Fees

Hampshire Exchange Programs
Students pay the same fees that you would if you were enrolled at Hampshire for that semester. The majority of your financial aid package applies to these fees, and most programs expenses are covered for you. Airfare, visas and spending money are the responsibility of the student.

Field Study
Students are responsible for a Field Study Fee equivalent to one-third of a Hampshire semester's tuition, plus the cost of your program of interest. Financial Aid in the form of Hampshire grants are applicable to the Field Study Fee, but cannot be used to cover outside program fees. All other aid (state, federal and/or private) is transferable, but you should check with your program of interest for details regarding what types of financial aid they are able to accept. For more information, see the Field Study Information/Application Packet (available in CASA) and the Financial Aid Office.

Short-Term Field Courses
Costs vary per trip. A limited amount of need-based financial aid is awarded by Hampshire to offset program costs (not including airfare).  Please complete a financial aid application to include with your Short-Term Field Course application.  See Short-Term Field Courses for program costs and to download a financial aid application.
